Cash loan insurance provides you with additional security in repaying the loan in unforeseen life circumstances.

What is cash loan insurance?
- Cash loan insurance is like a friend in need – a reliable ally that has the power to reduce your financial burden in certain unforeseen life circumstances.
- It enables the continuation or settlement of loan obligations when it matters most.
What does it cover?
- Accidental death or permanent disability
In the event of accidental death (e.g. traffic accident, fall, etc.) or permanent disability greater than 50%, the outstanding loan principal is paid out and the loan is closed.
Additionally:
- In the event of accidental death, in addition to loan closure, the same amount is paid to the legal heirs;
- In the case of permanent disability greater than 50%, 30% of the outstanding principal is paid out.
This fully relieves your family of any further loan obligations.
- Unemployment
In the event of termination of employment:
- Due to termination of the employment contract by the employer, caused by the fault of the loan beneficiary;
- Mutual agreement termination of the employment relationship.
In the case of termination of the employment contract by the employer, caused by the fault of the loan beneficiary, 1 monthly installment is paid.
In the case of mutual termination of the employment relationship, 9 monthly installments are paid (maximum 18 for the entire duration of the insurance).
Additionally, besides the compensation for the monthly installment, a fixed amount of EUR 150 is paid to the loan beneficiary’s account.
- Sick leave
In the case of temporary incapacity for work:
- as a result of illness or accident.
In the event of sick leave, starting from the 30th day of sick leave, 6 monthly installments are paid, with a maximum of 12 installments for the entire duration of the insurance.
For sick leave longer than 12 months, an additional 30% of the outstanding principal is paid to the loan beneficiary.
Additionally, compensation is paid in cases of sick leave related to intervertebral disc herniation (Hernia disci intervertebralis), supported by radiological test confirmation.
Coverage begins the day after the contract is concluded, but not before:
• loan approval, and
• payment of the insurance premium.
- Persons aged from 18 to 65 throughout the entire period while the policy is active.
- The insurance is available exclusively to bank clients who receive personal income (salary) through an account in Hipotekarna Bank.
- The insurance does not apply to: pensioners, unemployed persons, non-clients of the bank, or seafarers.
- You can cancel the coverage at any time;
- A written request for cancellation is submitted to Hipotekarna Bank or directly to UNIQA Insurance;
- The unused portion of the premium is refunded;
- If you withdraw from the coverage within 14 days of concluding the policy, the full premium amount is refunded, provided that the insurer is notified within the same period and no insured event has occurred.
After UNIQA fully repays the loan due to the occurrence of an accident, or after the insurer has fulfilled its obligations in terms of paying the maximum agreed compensation to the insured for the risks of sick leave and unemployment.
The coverage does not apply to:
• Death due to illness;
• Unemployment occurring within the first 60 days from policy activation or due to unilateral termination initiated by the loan beneficiary;
• Temporary incapacity for work (sick leave) lasting less than 30 days;
• Monthly installments exceeding EUR 1,000;
• A second sick leave or unemployment event if it occurs within a period shorter than 12 months after the first such insured event.
