Clients and partners
At Hipotekarna banka, our commitment to clients goes beyond financial services. We promote a multi-faceted approach to client engagement and offer various programs tailored to their diverse needs.
Hipotekarna banka’s green products initiative
In line with its commitment to environmental sustainability, Hipotekarna banka is actively engaged in offering various types of green financial products. The Bank offers three different green products: the Green Growth Facility (GGF) credit line, the Energy Efficient Home (EED) programme, and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) line.
Green Growth Facility (GGF) credit line: Providing financing for green mortgages and energy-efficient (EE) construction.
The GGF credit line facilitates financing for energy-efficient construction and green mortgages. Eligible projects include new or renovated buildings that meet specific energy efficiency criteria.
Energy Efficient Home (EED) programme
The EED programme, launched in 2020, aims to subsidise interest rates and loan processing fees for households. With a budget of approximately EUR 800,000, the programme focuses on providing interest-free loans for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and includes planned expansions to additional measures, such as the installation of highly efficient heat pumps.
Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) line
In cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, Hipotekarna banka launched a credit line. Although it is not classified as a conventional green loan product, this initiative is designed as a tool for the Bank to support the market by offering funds at favourable and competitive interest rates. It was introduced in response to the challenges posed by COVID-19 and has continued thereafter.
By a decision adopted by the Bank for the Ministry of Finance, the purpose of taking over the line from MIF is defined – it is intended for onward lending to our clients. Specifically characterised as a purpose-based loan, it is granted to both retail clients and corporate clients, meeting the needs for working capital and investment financing. This strategic measure serves as a mechanism to strengthen support for both the economy and individuals.
Partners
In 2023, we initiated a comprehensive analysis of our suppliers with the aim of developing a strategic approach to reduce emissions and environmental impact across our entire supply chain. While initial steps have been taken, more detailed information and insights into our sustainability efforts will be revealed in 2024 as we continue to refine and implement strategies for a positive impact on our environmental footprint.
